Training Class Outline: Product Owner Class

Football ready to be kicked.This is the outline for our training class "Product Owner Class".

Purpose

This is a hands-on in-depth training for Product Owners. Basics of Agile and Scrum will be touched only very briefly, and afterwards we’ll deep dive right into Scrum’s profundities. We’ll explore all of the essential Scrum elements from a Product Owners point of view, like roles, artefacts, meetings, and rules. We’ll also cover important related topics, such as managing releases, scaling products, and finding business models.

Target Audience

Product Owners and those who want to become a Product Owner, such as Product Managers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Iteration Manager, etc.

Please note: This is not a Scrum introduction. A prerequisite for the attendees is a basic understanding of Scrum. We recommend reading the (free) ebook “Do Better Scrum” by Peter Hundermark.

What will participants get out of this session?

  • …overview of Scrum from a Product Owner’s perspective,

Money-back Guarantee

money back guaranteeIf you are not happy with the training class, you can receive a full refund of your money paid on this training class. The only condition here is to have a meeting (face-to-face or phone call) of up to an hour with us. We want to get feedback and learn about our shortcomings so that we won’t do the same mistake twice.

Small Class Size

18When we analysed our classes, one of the most outstanding observation was the correlation between the attendee’s feedback and the class size. The attendee feedback from classes with 18 or less attendees was far more positive than the ones with more than 18 attendees. This makes sense to us and is consistent with research about smaller class sizes in schools around the globe. The smaller the attendee-trainer-ratio, the more attention each attendee gets, the more quality time with the trainer each attendee gets, the better the discussions within the classes become, and the overall higher quality the classes become. This is why we have a small class size. Our classes are limited to a maximum of 18 attendees.

Characteristics and Special Features

FingerprintWhat makes Bold Mover's Agile training classes so special? Maybe it's…
  • …the training mechanics, where we use techniques from Training from the Back of the Room (TftBotR) to emphasise learning instead of just listening;
  • the lifelong class material, which means that you will always have access to the latest training material;
  • the flexible agenda, which enables the attendees to influence the training class so they get the best out of it.
Or maybe it's one of the other features, like the resource reference record, the questions during the training, the feedback and improvement, the certificates, simulations, or exercises? Read more…
